Summer 2026: Spanaway Lake Treatments

The District is planning treatments to Spanaway Lake for late Spring, and Summer 2026 to manage both noxious weeds and harmful algae blooms. These treatments are dependent on weather conditions.

  • Notice of this work will be mailed to waterfront residences and businesses within a quarter mile of the lake.

  • Signs will be posted with information at lake access points 24 to 48 hours before treatments.

  • The lake is safe for fishing, swimming, and paddling during treatment.

  • Crews applying the treatment may request motorized boats to either stay off the water or minimize wake during application.
